After upgrade Windows 2000 to XP pro I have now one Windows and one
Winnt folder.
Can I delete Winnt ?
What else can I delete?
Any registry settings to change for better performance ?
I mean to eliminate settings which could date back to win 2000 and
interfere.

Its always a good idea to perform a fresh install when you upgrade from 2000
to XP only because of the large number of changes and possible software
issues.

But if you already have, you can safely delete the winNT folder!

Not necessarily true, the 2000 to XP is a pretty straight forward upgrade.
The problem the OP has is from not doing the upgrade properly. If they had,
there would not be the extra folder and their would not be many unnecessary
files to get rid of. XP upgrade backs up necessary files and settings, then
deletes the Windows folder and replaces it with a spanking clean one to
restore the backed up files and settings. The upgrade from 2000 to XP does
not have a uninstall option, so no 2000 uninstall folder is created.
