xp Pro IE

I reinstalled XP Pro to solve a problem with shut down. After the re-install
IE will not work. I cannot re-install IE 6 as the install process indicates
that I have a newer version of IE. I installed SP 2. This did not solve the
problem.

Where do I go to get IE support? FireFox and Netscape work well except on
Microsoft Support sites. I guess they are bolcked.

SP2 has IE6 installed by default,there's no upgrade to install.When you start
xp IE is running otherwise you'd have no display,try going to ADM.,then open
event viewer,see whats taken place on the system.
