XP Pro, does it have a detect & repair - reinstall installer?

Hello, I am having problems with the windows XP Pro
installer. I tried to run the detect and repair for
frontpage 2002 and the windows installer started. After
30 seconds I got an error message "This patch package
could not open. Verify that the patch package exists and
you can access it, or contact the application vendor."
Can I reinstall the installer? Is there a detect and
repair for windows like the office products. I have
already scan for any viruses.
