xp pro clean install 2

Hey all,

after a clean install of xp pro what's the next best step?
Install video drivers, service packs, or regular apps like office?

IMO. service packs then drivers then apps.

Service packs may contain updated drivers as well as bug fixes.
Apps should be the last thing installed. Make sure your system works before
trying to use it.
 
Turn on the xp firewall or install your own. Install your anti-virus
program. Then goto windows update and get sp2. Then load your apps and such.
If you have office 2003, then make sure to get the office SP1 service pack.
