XP Pro can't join a NT 4.0 Domain

I have a Dell optiplex 160L, straight out of the box,
which I cannot get to join our Win NT 4.0 server. Using
the Network ID Wizard I get the following error:

The Security database on the server does not have a
computer account for this workstation trust relationship.

I have a user account set up for this computer. We are
running Win NT 4.0 Server SP 6 on our server. Any help is
very much appreciated!!

I have the same problem trying to join a Win2k domain. And there
are other problems as well for me. I'm kinda joined because I can
tap into the other computers on the network, but I'm just not listed
as joined. This is a very serious security breach on the part of XP.

I can see and tap into the DC but the DC, but I'm not joined. Very
odd behavior in respect to XP.

The fact that I can not remove and reinstall TCP IP anymore doesn't
seem to help anything. I just want to get rid of TCP IP altogether on
the XP machine, but the latest updates seem to prevent it.
