xp pro can use two my documents folders

I have the usual My Documents folder, a.k.a. My Docs; it has more than
maybe 16 GB of data. I backed this up every night. Of course, most
of it never changes so I'm wondering why back it up every night.

So I've thinned the herd, so to speak, and taken out all the stuff I
tend to look past on my way to find what I want; now My Docs is down
to about 8.5 GB. What I've taken out of My Docs is in another folder,
in fact it's in the default user's My Docs folder.

When I bring up Windows Explorer, my My Docs folder is displayed just
above the My computer folder.

My question is, how can I get this other folder (the one with all the
data I've taken out of my My Docs folder) to display right under my My
Docs folder? For that matter, how can I get the default user's My
Docs folder to display when I'm signed on as me?

If you want the files to appear in the My Documents folder on your user's
desktop, you should have put them in the All Users folder instead of Default
User. Anything stored in the All Users folder will be shown in the My
Documents of every user on the computer, while the Default User's files are
copied to the My Documents of every user you add. So, supposing you moved all
the files to a path like:
C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\My Documents
you should move them from there to this destination (the drive letter could
differ)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\My Documents
