XP Pro boot from floppy discs

Putting new hard drive in puter at work, have full XP
Pro. will not boot from cd. downloaded utility, extracted
to floppys as directed. comes up with error message on
disc #4 "lbrfdc.sys corrupt" Have made second copy from
clean download with same result. Any Ideas?
 
As JAX said check the BIOS 1st.

Did you notice that there are 2 different downloads for the pro install floppies?

1 is for pro with SP1 the other is for pro before SP1.
