XP Pro behind Proxy server

At work I use a Win XP Pro machine. Our corp intranet uses a proxy server
which we use to access the web. Of course the network admins can see all of
our internet activity if they wanted to, right down to the keystroke, and im
not to keen on that. (not that Im doing anything wrong, its just a little
thing called privacy that im entitled to) So is there any way I can somehow
hide my activity?
Will a program or service like anonymizer accomplish what I am after. If
not, is there anything else I can do?

SUGGESTION - Workers who try to bypass their network administrators often
get assigned a new employment category ... unemployed. If you object to
your workplace IT policies you would be better off protesting through normal
channels.
