xp pro academic edition

I have xp pro academic edition cd key from my computer, i
dont' have the cd anymore, can i use a regular xp pro cd
to install academic version or will it give me an invalid
cd key error?

Windows XP Product Keys are not interchangeable with
different CD versions. Just like a key for a Ford won't
start a BMW, you need the correct CD.

Each CD has its own individual key.

its still windows xp though... so each version within xp
pro wont work with another cd key?
