XP PC Really Slow At Booting UP

My general PC performance is ok and my disk doesn't need de-fragging. I've
done gernal housework and removed all none essential programs (as far as I
know). However, when I switch on computer it takes up to 10 mins before it's
ready to use. Can anybody make some suggestions as to why it could be taking
this long or possible avenues of investigation?

Justin, have you done a Malware check. If not use these sites. It could be
hardware related or driver conflict.
Rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Hardware>Device Manager. See if
there's a yellow marks next to any of the
Devices.
