XP Partition limitation

In a previuos post, Bob Harris said that 48bit LBA has to
be enabled (after installing SP1a in XP).
How do I enable 48bit LBA ?
Is this done in BIOS or XP somewhere ?
How can I tell if my BIOS will support >128GB drives ?

Your bios supports if your bios indicates the full size of the disk or if
that is what you see during boot up. You may also check your motherboard
with the manufacturer of the motherboard
