XP, outbound VPN connection - 3rd fails

K

Kirill Palagin

Hello everybody.

Whenever I try to establish 3rd simultaneous outbound VPN (PPTP) from
Windows XP SP2 I get
"Error 800: Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may
be unreachable, or security parameters may not be configured properly
for this connection. "

I am experiencing this on two machines, one connects to the Internet via
ISA2004, the other - via D-Link router.
Is this regular Windows behavior?

Thanks.
WBR,
K. Palagin.

I am doing this over the Internet. Any connection works just fine
individually, any two work just fine, but trying to establish 3rd one
fails with error 800.

If you can establish VPN from some computer but other, I would double-check the configuration, especially some security software settings. These search results may help,

OK, I will reword the problem - I can not establish three simultaneous
outbound VPN connections. I can establish two just fine (to any of
remote servers), but 3rd one fails with error 800. As soon as I
disconnect one connection (out of two), I can establish new one without
any problem.
I am seeing this on two machines. All three remote servers accept
connections just fine.

Can you establish more than two outbound VPN (PPTP, not L2TP)
connections simultaneously?

Thanks.
WBR,
K. Palagin.
