XP Only Re Boots

Using XP Pro SP3 the pc only re boots. Even safe mode and last known. I never
get to the log in. The drive looks good when booting to a floppy.
Tried repair from the install CDs but it did nothing.

Looking for ideas. thanks

1. What AV plan guarantees freedom from viruses & malware?
2. Test Power Supply Unit (free in most specialist PC repair shops.)
3. Test RAM (e.g. RAMTEST86 run from floppy.)
4. Run hard disk diagnostics available from the manufacturer.

You could try a manual System Restore. It's an involved process but it may
work: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545.
