Erik;
Fix your clock. May not help with this problem, but will help
with other problems.

I installed XP professional from ME, I had saved my settings and setup was
fine. Internet works. I have three accounts, for my wife, son and me. The OE
settings I saved are in my OE account. I can send messages, cruise the net,
but no receiving. It so happens that XP partitioned the computer so I can
choose to boot to ME or XP. When I'm in the old ME side I can receive
messages. All my addresses and mail files transferred pver nicely to OE. I
spoke with my router people and they figure OE needs to be able configured
so it can identify my account and pass the incoming messages on to me. I
don't know how to do it. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Erik

Try checking the account info from the ME side and compare with the XP
account info.
-----------------------
To change settings on an existing e-mail or newsgroup account
1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
2. On either the Mail or News tab, click an account, and then click Properties.
3. Change the information as needed on the appropriate tabs.

To import e-mail account settings
1. On the File menu, point to Import, and then click Mail Account Settings.
2. Select the e-mail client you want to import and click Next.
3. The settings for the e-mail account will appear. To accept these settings, select Accept
Settings, and then click Next. Go to step 5.
4. To change any of the settings, select Change Settings, and then click Next. Use the Internet
Connection Wizard to step through the settings for the e-mail account. Make any changes you want
and click Next.
5. On the Completion page, click Finish.
6. To see the account information, on the Tools menu, click Accounts.

Yes, the clock was off, but I fixed that right after install. It was also
off on the mysteriously partitioned ME.
