XP not able to see DFS

I am experimenting with the distributed file system in our
office. All of the users see the DFS share but the XP
user sees the share but can not see the contents of the
share. Any ideas

from command prompt try dir \\Server\Root\ (put a \ at the end as shown)
let me know the error you are getting while doing this.

Was this a SMB share before you create a root on top of it? and was it
used by this user on XP?

Answers to these might give a clue on what might be happening.

I tried the "dir \\server\root\" command and the shares
showup. This was a new share that I name and put the
links into the share. Thank yo
