XP = no internet?

I purchased windowsXP Pro and installed. All is good
except I can't open any web sites. I ran the upgrade
report and it said that my Java Plug-in 1.3.1 was not
compatible..... what do I do?

thanks for any help.

ps... yes I can connect to internet and yahoo messenger
 
Did you do a Windows XP Pro upgrade over another Windows version???

Get a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) here: http://java.sun.com/getjava
