XP NEW CONNECTION WIZARD

When trying to set up a dial-up account using
"New connection wizard".

The Choices for Internet connect are grayed out and the only one available
is the
"Connect using a BroadBand connection that is always on"

The modem is working and enabled. It works with phones tools.

What could be the Problem.

I can't say for sure but you may have some service in
Admin tools>services turned off.I think that "telephony"
is required for dialup (among other things).Check its
dependantcies as well.Good Luck

Dial-up Modem or PPPoE Option in New Connection Wizard Is Unavailable

All the services were running.

The above solution did the trick if anyone else has this problem.
