XP modem detection problem!!

Go to My Computer, view system information and then select Hardware. From
there go to Device Manager. You should have a PCI device shown as an
unknown device, select it and update the drivers. Hope this helps.


i need to detect my modem on my XP professional, is detected on my win 98.

And move the modem among the PCI slot if necessary.
Sometimes XP tried to be smart and ended up can't properly install the
driver.
