XP messed up the Icons

After a fresh XP/SP2 install Xp is messing up my icons when I install
programms. When I go to Program Files and open the map DAP, there
should be a DAP icon, but it is the icon for WinRar.........and so more
with other program icons in ProgramFiles!

Can someone explane me what happend and what to do so I get the right
Icon on the right Program?
