xp media center edition problem

When I enter my password to start windows it then says loading your
settings, it is now freezing right there, I tried signing on under wifes name
which is not password protected and it does the same thing, any idea what is
happening? How to fix? I am not that computer savy ! thanks Dave

Run from a boot to CD and Recovery Console (press 'r' for Repair), the
command: (cd drive letter or recover drive letter = D

D:/i386/expand.exe D:/i386/winlogon.ex_
C:/Windows/system32/winlogon.exe
