XP - "lost" Wordpad, how to get it back

I lost use of Wordpad, Solitaire and IE, perhaps others -
the system couldn't find them - apparently after an
aborted software installation (Fuji camera). I did an
upgrade from the XP CD and got all back (I think) except
Wordpad. (I also lost two OE identities, but that's
fixable.) Any idea how I get Wordpad back? I use it, so
need it.

Wordpad should be here:
C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

Ah, but it isn't. That's the problem. Wordpad is no where
to be found. All that's showing up is four what I presume
to be "zipped" files: including wordpad.ex_ -- which may
well be "CABS" files. So, how do I get from these four
files to working wordpad?????

I'm not sure what those files are, but wordpad is just a small stand alone
program(not sure if it has registry entries) and you should be able to just
get the exe from a friend a drop it in the correct folder.
