Fresh install of XP w/sp2. With MS rcommended updates.
On board ethernet adaptor. (Broadcom)
Installed drivers for ethernet adaptor. Network works, access to internet
is fast with no problems.
But...
Everytime I restart the computer XP loses the connection. It's shown in
"network connections", but no connectivity. In "Device Manager" the proper
adaptor is shown and says it's working properly. If I unistall the adaptor,
then run "new hardware", XP finds the correct adaptor and installs it.
Connection is then good until I have to restart the computer.
I'm building a new computer, so lots of restarting!
How come XP keeps losing it and how do I fix it?
