XP Logon

When I select a particular user at logon I get the loading settings page then
the wallpaper for the desktop and nothing more. When on the processes page of
the task manager exporer.exe is 100% usage. Ihave to do a hard shutdown just
to restart and get to another logon. Which works fine. Does anyone know how
to fix this problem?
