Hi
My windows XP media OS is continuously uploads data, as soon as I connect to
internet. I do not know what it uploads and where.

How to find out and stop this ?

If you had a good 2-way firewall on your system, you would at least know
what program is accessing the internet. You could then go from there. Ever
hear of ZoneAlarm from www.zonelabs.com?

As suggested, a firewall is a good idea, but the first thing you can do
is to look through your list of installed programs...anything suspicious
there? Remove programs you did not intentionally install. Do you have
peer-to-peer programs like music-sharing etc? They may be using your
machine as a file server...

Go to Windows > Run and type in "cmd". When a command window opens,
type in "netstat" you will see a list of network connections that your
machine has open. Generally speaking only hosts known to you should be
in there (such as your local host, mailsever, ISP, and other web sites
you may be browsing at that time).

Please follow-up here.
