I am trying to find out what my ip address is. When i go to run and type in
ipconfig, a window pops up briefly but then closes before I can see
anything. Anyone know what that is all about?...thanks tom

type in cmd and click ok. Then in the window that pops up type in ipconfig.
Hit enter. That should show you your ip.
Or you could go to http://www.whatismyip.com

Tom,

First, open a Command Prompt window, and then type the IPCONFIG command.

Click Start, Run and type CMD
Type the IPCONFIG command-line in the console.

Alternately, type this in Start, Run:

CMD /K IPCONFIG

This leaves the Command shell open even after the command is completed.
