XP Installation

Reboot

I have come Across this error â€dmboot.sys is corrupt†while trying to install
a fresh copy of windows XP SP2 and I am stuck trying to find a way to
resolve it ASAP.
I changed Memory
CDROM
Formatted HD
US My backup copy of XP but no luck
Did any one has come across this error before I would appreciate with some
help to fix this

I haven't seen this message before but Google gave me more than 200 hits,
e.g. this one: http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/28811/.
 
Are you saying that upon installing a fresh copy of windows you get this
message? If so then your CD may be scratched or dirty. You can continue
without this file then you can replace it later. The file is for the Disk
Manager Console and you do not need it on install.

Hi Randem,
Thanks for your reply;but My CD media have no scratch. and I have used my
original XP CD insted of the copyed one but no luck.
I was thinking to change the CD drive that is the next thing I am going to do.
many thank but do suggest me if you think of any other cause.
