alex

i'm having major trouble installing xp on a new computer,
everytime i try, it has trouble copying the installation
files to the hard drive, anyone got any clues as to why
this is happening.

my computer specs are:
Motherboard:- Gigabyte P4 Titan Sinx1394, AGP 8x, dual
channel DDR.
Processor:- Intel Celeron 2.4
Graphics card:- Geforce 2 MX 400 64MB 4X
Ram:- 1GB Twinmos Dual Channel
Hard Drive:- 20GB, cannot remeber the manufacturer
DVD, CD/RW, Floppy 1.44

Start with the following, reinstall your previous operating system, then,
while at the Windows desktop, place the XP CD in the drive and select "Check
System Compatibility."

You are not attempting to boot from a 9x floppy disk to run XP Setup are
you?
