i have tried on numerous occassions to install XP home, yet on 32 minutes the program
gets to a third of the way through "installing network" and hangs, without crashing.
i do not have a network card. the only PCI card is my modem, which i have removed
with the same problem. any suggestions PLEASE HELP!!

Be patient! On slower computers, I have seen the install hang there for over
1 hour. It usually WILL continue.

hey there!
thankyou very much for your help.
have tried leaving it at that point for nearly two hours, as suggested, still no luck. any more ideas!?

Disconnect/remove all hardware except for mouse, keyboard and video card.
Then, start over. See if it still hangs.
