xp install

Setup will not recognize when I hit the f8 key to agree
to the license agreement during install.
 
Have you tried another keyboard to make sure that it is working properly.
 
Yea,keyboard is fine.I am wondering if some sort of
virus could do this.
 
Not really, unless you had something on the machine that is still resident a
virus wouldnt have time to load at that point of setup. Is this a clean
install?
 
yes it was a clean install. I deleted the old partition
and tried to start from scratch.The page up/down and esc
keys work but when I hit the f8 key nothing happens.
