This is a stupid question but I need to know. I have installed xp on my desktop that was running ME. I need to install XP on my laptop that is running 98. Can I use the same program or do I need to purchase another copy of xp?

more than one license).

not a stupid question in fact.

you may use the same copy/cd of xp on another computer, even to a hundred
computers or even more. but you need to have a unique activation code for
every computer you install winxp on. and you can get this unique activation
code by getting a licence to install winxp in another computer.
