XP install stopped

How can I delete a partly installed XP Setup. At the booth sequence the
choice what OS to use appears: "continue XP Setup" or use "Windows XP" . The
second choice works fine, but there should be some means of eliminating a
faulty Windows XP Setup. Thanks for any suggestion.

From within WinXP, Start > Run > Msconfig, Boot.ini Tab > "Check
all Boot Paths."

Manually:

1) Click Start > Run, Type "Cmd" and then press <Enter>.

2) Type "Cd\" and then press <Enter>

3) Type "Attrib C:\Boot.ini -h -r -s" and then press <Enter>

4) Click Start > Run, Type "Notepad c:\boot.ini" and then press <Enter>

5) Edit the file to removed the extraneous line, save it, and then exit
Notepad.

6) Type "Attrib C:\Boot.ini +h +r +s" and then press <Enter>

7) Close the command console.

The method Bruce listed will work, but there is a "builtin" method.
START-CONTROLPANEL-MAINTENCE-SYSTEM
then ADVANCED-STARTUPandRECOVERY
Click on edit and delete the line to the failed setup. It should be the 2nd
one. Change the :"default" to point back to the primary boot device. It
may have the no good one listed as default.

...HTH..
