XP install cycles

After my hard drive failed i bought a new one and went to install xp all over
again. I formatted the hard drive and went to install XP with SP2. after
installing the neccessary files my computer rebooted like it should, but then
it seeks for the install disk all over again and goes through the format and
install the neccessary files and reboots again. Over and over and over. I
don't think there's anything i'm doing wrong, but if there is can anyone tell
me what it is?
 
it reboots from the xp cd again. you must go to computer's setup and prevent
it from being boot from the cd.
