This is too weird. I have a brand new XP Pro laptop and the user tried
installing I have no idea and now everytime he goes to open IE it acts like
it's doing a Microsoft download. He gets that lovely screen with the files
floating through the air then it errors out. Something about can't download
from MSN.com.

We've tried removing IE from the Add/Remove and putting it back and that
didn't work.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.... :)

Thanks.

Confused????

Thank you anyone that was looking into this... It appears we found the
problem... it was a dll that got corrupted...

Thanks.

It was MSHTML.DLL, wasn't it.

6.00.2900.2838 seems to cause this problem when it gets registered
(e.g., regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll) but registering the previous version,
6.0.2900.2802, seems to fix it.
