xp ICS port forwarding problem

I am trying to forward the ftp service from the ics box to one of the
computers (192.168.0.2) that is behind the network. On any of the lan
machines I can connect to the ftp server directly by using it's lan
address, but even after forwarding the port, I can not connect to it
from the public ip or the localhost ip of the ics box. I have seen
this problem mentioned before but have yet to find a valid solution.
I am not using the default of 21 but instead have the ftp server
listening on 22 and the ics box listening on 6121 (and forwarding that
internally to 169.198.0.2 22). I am not quite sure where to go now, i
have read of ms kb documents for hours and yet to find a solution.
3rd party port forwarding/ics? Let me know.

are you sue you forward to 169.198.0.2 (and forwarding that internally to
169.198.0.2 22)? Or 192.168.0.2?

I have the exact same problem, only I'm forwarding port 83 to 192.168.0.2:83
I get connection refused errors when trying to access the forwarded port
from the public IP or the localhost. Strangely, the GRC firewall test -
http://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?rh1dkyd2 - shows that the port is open when I
check the item in the ICS options and closed when unchecked.

I would really like to know how to fix the problem.
