1.) What is the difference between regedit.exe and
regedt32.exe? They both run in a window from desktop
shortcut, from Start->Run and in Command Prompt. They are
both the same version.
2) Regedit, under File dropdown has a Connect network
registry option. I'm guessing that this allows you to fix
someone else's computer registry, but why would you if
you could aquire a remote connection?
3) I created a boot floppy from XP which resides on NTFS
using the format sub option that allows this. I then
found that the floppy boot can only look at Fat32
partition drives on my computer. Can one not create from
XP (as can be done from WindowsME), a floppy that
optionally gives CD support , offers FDISK and also
allows NTFS access which ME bootable does not?
4)My video/monitor Nvidia 16meg/NecMultisyncLCD1530V is
supposed to run at 1024x768 but in this mode the
lettering is near outside of my visual capabilities
despite text being set to largest in I.E. and Extra large
fonts in display properties. This is true of the type I'm
setting right here, though not true in the Newsgroup Page
behind this Post a Message pop up. To put it into
perspective, if this were the type in a book, I would not
buy it because it is too small and this is not a book but
rather a monitor that you shouldn't need to lay nose
prints on in order to read. My MSN.COM home page is the
same, that is varying text size values does nothing.
5) While I'm here, if I have dark shadows that extend
horizontally from this line of type and all the others
right out to the edge of monitor surface, do I need a new
video adapter? Started about a month ago. It is not the
operating system because I see the same in bios (Tahiti
from H.P.)before O/S. Are there known cases of a video
adapter degrading in 3 years of existance. Should I try
more than vacuuming the inside of the box?
Cheers and Thanks
