XP home upgrade SP2

The XP home upgrade is now shipping with SP2 included.
Is the SP2 embedded in the product or is it a separate process to
install it?
I have sone s/w (e.g. Photoshop) which has known problems. So if I buy
the upgrade I want to avoid SP2. It's now difficult to find the upgrade
without SP2.

Thanks for any help

One cannot remove SP2 from the new Windows XP CD
if it is already installed. You may wish to contact Photoshop
support and see if a patch or upgrade is available.

I haven't purchased the upgrade yet. I have ME but I'm getting a new PC
and wanted to install XP using the upgrade.
So (I may have misunderstood reply) can I use the upgrade that ships
with SP2 to install XP without SP2?

I believe Photoshop are discussing with M'soft

As described in your link, calling Photoshop help does generate the blocked
content warning in IE, but enabling the content just takes two clicks and
all is well. It is an annoyance to be sure, but a minor one.
