I have a New Dell Latitude 630 runnig Win XP home.

If the system sits idle for extended periods of time I get the following
Message:

Error signature

BCCode: 1000000a BCP1: 00000004 BCP2: 0000001C BCP3: 00000001 BCP4:
80501996 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 2_0 Product: 768_1

Can any one help me in determining the problem driver or program that is
causing this error.

I had an Error signature problem with an old machine a couple of years
ago, I don't remember the specifics but the procedure:

Start/Run eventvwr.msc
Under systems and applications look for items marked with a red-X icon
that happened at the same time your computer hangs.
Hope it helps.

That's a pretty long time an odd one too. I don't think it's 3 years 10
months.

Old Bill is getting senile. Don't pick on him. He's having a devil
of a time keeping track of what he's tweaked, and which Restore Point
to use next to get back to normal.

Nope. It's ASCII.
Another whooosh moment (but not for me).
Perhaps a bit too techie for some. :)

I meant in ASCII (which is expressed in hex, per above). :)

Ok, I'll give you that one, but technically, the question should have
read "What is that period." ;-)

LOL. There ya go.
And you've just restored my faith (well, for at least some in here). So, I
appreciate that. :)
