XP Home & SP2 headaches

I followed all the recommendations prior to upgrading to SP2 on my XP Home
edition. I also did the security update for IE/OE Now I am having problems
with posting from some websites. I am having Error HTTP 500 Internal Server
showing up. I reinstalled the Java 2 from Sun. That didn't fix it. There
are no other updates available for my machine at
windowsupdate.microsoft.com either. Any suggestions? How do I get past this
error message? It started after all my updating.
