I have two PC's connected by cable. The W2K pc can read/access the XP
machine.
But while the XP machine can(?) see the other (it shows up in my Workgroup
list) in windows explorer on the XP. When I click on the name I get a dialog
box "connect to xxxxx" and a request to enter user name and Password.
Unfortunately I am not aware that I entered any password or ID and any I
have tried (my web ID's) have not worked.
TIA

On the Windows 2000 computer, open the User tool in Control Panel and create
a new user with the same logon name (and password, if any) that is used when
starting up or logging into your Windows XP computer and make sure that user
has rights to any shares.
