XP Home PC cannot see printer shared by XP Pro

I have a few PCs that I am trying to connect together in a network. They run
mainly XP Home and Pro.
I installed a printer locally to one of the XP Pro PCs, then shared it out,
and am able to add the printer to all the other PCs but not the XP Homes.

From the XP Home PCs' Network N'hood, I am able to see the PC that is
hosting the printer but cannot see the shared printer itself.
I tried via the "Add Printer" wizard as well as via the Network N'hood but
the printer does not show up in either. Double-clicking the host (or
collapsing the "+" sign) only prompts me for a userID and password. And it
rejects EVERY userID and password that I type in (I tried a normal user,
local PC administrator, domain administrator, printer operator, everything!)

Can someone please help me with some insight? I thank you way in advance.

Did you try a userID and password that belong to an account on the XP
Pro PC that shares the printer?
