XP Home - Launches System32 at Startup

After installing all recommended Windows updats for XP
Home Edition, upon reboot, Windows launches Sytem32
without being requested.

I have looked through Startup, etc. and cannot find a way
to stop this from occuring. While I can simply close
System32 after a start/restart... This is ANNOYING. So
much to the point that this will be the second time I've
reformatted and reloaded XP Home.

Any ideas?

You the man! I knew it had to be burried somewhere, I
haven't tried it out yet as I haven't the courage (read
time) to try and get dinged by those recommended updates
just yet... I put this message out on another machine
while the new one was re-formatting... Kellys_Korner
looks to have a lot of useful tools.
