xp home installation problems

vic a.

new install of windows xp home on new harware. shuttle xpc ss51g. the
following problems occur/recur depending on how i mess with award bios
settings.

* file setupreg.hiv could not be loaded: error code 32768

* ole32.dll was not found, installation failed

* the file sbp2port.sys is corrupted, installation failed

* windows could not start because the following file is missing or
corrupt \windows\system32\config\system

Vic, somehow your Registry got corrupted. Possibly power supply voltages
unstable or new hardware device drivers.
Do a clean install with stripped down computer. Just the bare
essentials. Check your PSU with Motherboard Monitor.

I guess that's what I'm trying to do. I'm booting from my winxp-home
cd to do an install.. but it just won't install. gives the messages
indicated.
