2 year old Packard Bell laptop running XP home. It
boots up with an inherent F8 key pressed and gives me the
safe mode options. All these options start to boot, give
an error indication so fast I can't read it (on a blue
screen), then reboot again. Can any REPAIR options help?
It doesn't seem the MBR is corruprt, as XP starts to
execute.
My friend has gone to great lengths to lose his
repair disk and move hundreds of miles from where he
bought it, so it is a matter of repairing. Thanks, Sean
