Software I have used for many years, current version works
fine on my desktop Win 98SE Pent III 800 mh. Software
company went out of business. Sotware will ot work on my
new laptop with XP HE Pent 4 2.65 ghz. Will V-com Systym
Commander OP Sys partion help? Will a CPU Killer to reduce
speed help? Thanks.

You can always try running the program in compatibility mode (information on
which can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/columns/russel/02february18.asp).

The other software you mentioned may help, or it may not, but I wouldn't
recommend messing around with them unless you really know what you're doing.
If you can't get the software to run on Windows XP, instead of setting up a
dual-boot with Windows 98, you may want to look at Microsoft Virtual PC or
VMWare Workstation. These programs will allow you to run another operating
system from inside Windows, without risking any damage to your system.

Hope that helps.
