XP Home Edition - Problem with access to Control Panel

I have a problem accessing 'Control Panel' on my PC running XP Home Edition.
When I click on Start and Control Panel nothing happens. I also try to
access using a different path (through My Computer) but that same thing
happens. Any ideas anyone?
 
Start, Run type Control and press enter.

Works fine on my PC (XP Professional SP2)
