XP Home Addition Search

When I use the search facility by entering some text that
is in the file I do not find all of the word.doc files
that contain the search criteria. Can anyone suggest why
this is so and a remedy.

I never had the problem in Windows 98.

This is a known issue. See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes, Windows XP Search
Problems, Can't Find Files Containing Text.... for a partial work around.
Other users are installing Agent Ransack, www.agentransack.com, to get
around XP's Search limitations.
