XP hangs on Install!!!

it goes through to almost finish the copying files portion
of the installtion but then just stops responding. The is
a toshiba laptop 2805-S201 with ME on it. I have flashed
the BIOS and tried everything i can find in the knowledge
base.

Anybody have any ideas?

Reinstall WinME. When finished and at the WinME desktop, place the XP CD in
the drive, when the setup screen appears, select "Check System
Compatibility." The report it generates may give a clue as to the source of
the issue.
