XP hangs after succesfull install

I have installed XP on my ASUS P3V4X with an Intel
Coppermine 800 Mhz processor. Install completed
succesfully, but after first reboot XP hangs or responds
very slowly. I have 390 Mb memory installed, so it would
seem memory shouldn't be a problem.
 
Hi,

I think that the memory is corrupt or not installed
proprely. always use memory in multiples of 2's for eg
64, 128,256,512,1024 etc. 390 is an odd number and can
affect performance.
