XP-Freezing

I have Windows XP home addition running on my laptop. I
find that the computer will 'freeze-up' whilst I am using
it. I have tried Controle+alt+Del but this has no effect:
the only way I have found to unfreeze XP is to switch the
computer off and re-boot.

Has anyone else come accross this problem?

Richard,

Check to see that you are running the latest video drivers for that laptop.
Go to the laptop mfr's website and DL/install the latest drivers.

Corrupt video drivers are not the only possible cause, but they do have a
strong potential for causing this sort of problem.
