XP freezes upon bootup, programs do noy load

Upon bootup XP displays desktop picture but freezes upo
within seconds. No program icons load. No task bar
loads.

Bootup in "Safe Mode" all icons load but "disk claenup"
requested.

Perform disk cleanup and system continues to fail.

It is a vicious circle!

Any advice will be apprteciated.

I attempted to contact Microsoft directly but they
require a Product ID. After accessing the ID page
within "Help & Support" while in "Safe Mode" I received
the following " Sorry, Content advisor will not allow you
to see this." "This page does not have a rating."

Start xp in normal mode,on desktop,press,Ctrl_Alt_Delete same time,this open
task mgr.,select new task,type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow Install xp cd an
exit the info page when the graph starts.When thru type:CHKDSK C: /F The
type:EXIT restart computer.

Andrew Task Manager will not open when booted in normal mode.
